Raven Lee is a transformative leader with extensive experience in strategic planning, quality assurance, and human resources across various industries. She holds a Master's degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and is currently pursuing a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. 

As the founder of Raven Lee Consulting, Raven specializes in comprehensive talent solutions, executive coaching, and organizational health services. She is a certified coach through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) and holds the Associate Certified Coach credential through the International Coaching Federation. 

On a personal note, Raven is married to Bruce Lee (yes, really!) and is a proud mother of four children, ranging in age from 25 to 7.

Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training course that teaches participants how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges. The goal is to provide first aid until appropriate professional support can be obtained.
2. Who should take the MHFA course?
This course is ideal for anyone who wants to learn how to support individuals experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge. It is particularly valuable for HR professionals, managers, educators, community leaders, and anyone interested in creating a supportive environment for mental well-being.
3. What will I learn in the course?
In the Adult MHFA course, you will learn how to:

  • Recognize the signs and symptoms of common mental health challenges.
  • Provide initial support and reassurance.
  • Refer individuals to appropriate professional resources.
  • Understand the impact of stigma and promote mental wellness.
4. What topics are covered in the MHFA course?
Key topics include:

  • Anxiety disorders
  • Depression
  • Substance use disorders
  • Trauma and psychosis
  • Crisis situations, such as suicide, panic attacks, and overdose
5. How long is the MHFA course?
The Adult MHFA course consists of 2 hours of self-directed learning followed by 6.5 hours of live virtual training. This blended format allows participants to complete foundational content on their own before engaging in live, instructor-led sessions.


6. Do I need any prior knowledge or experience to take this course?
No prior mental health knowledge or experience is needed. The course is designed for individuals with no prior background in mental health, making it accessible for all.
7. Will I receive a certification after completing the course?
Yes, upon successfully completing the course, participants receive a Mental Health First Aid certification, valid for three years.
8. How is the MHFA course delivered?
The course is delivered in a blended format, with 2 hours of self-directed online learning followed by 6.5 hours of live virtual training. Please check the specific details of the session you are interested in for delivery format.



9. How much does the MHFA course cost?
The course is $175 per participant.
10. What is the evidence supporting MHFA training?
MHFA training is evidence-based, with research showing that it helps participants recognize and understand mental health challenges, reduces stigma, and empowers them to offer effective support.
12. Can organizations host a private MHFA training session?
Yes, we offer private group sessions tailored to organizations and teams. Please reach out to discuss your organization’s specific needs and scheduling preferences.
13. What should I expect in terms of participation and activities?
The course involves interactive activities, case discussions, and role-playing exercises. Participants are encouraged to engage fully to gain the most practical skills and confidence. However, given the nature of the content, participants are encouraged to consider their own mental wellbeing when engaging with specific topics.


14. Will this course qualify me to provide mental health treatment?
No, this course does not qualify participants to diagnose or treat mental health conditions. MHFA is designed to teach you how to provide immediate support and refer individuals to appropriate professional help.
15. How do I renew my MHFA certification?
You can renew your certification by taking a refresher course before your three-year certification period ends. Check the MHFA website or reach out for renewal options.
